Sarah Aristidou

Sarah Aristidou was born in Paris and even as a child was a member of the national radio choir, »Maîtrise de Radio France", where she sang under the baton of numerous conductors like Kurt Mazur, Ricardo Muti and Massimo Zanetti. In 2008 she began her studies in musicology at the University of Paris-Sorbonne which she successfully completed in 2011. In 2014 she gained her bachelor's in singing and musical theatre at the Berlin University of the Arts and subsequently switched to doing her master's at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich as well as at August Everding Theaterakademie. As a scholarship holder of the Friends of Munich Nationaltheater and the Rotary Club of Berlin-Gendarmenmarkt she most recently appeared on stage, among other things, as Mademoiselle Silberklang (»Der Schauspieldirektor«), Blonde (»Die Entführung aus dem Serail«) and Emilie (»Egon und Emilie«). This soprano also regularly appears with a contemporary repertoire and as an oratorio singer at various venues in Germany, mostly recently in Munich's Gasteig. She gave her first Lieder concert in January 2015 in Heidelberg with Gerold Huber on the piano. In July 2015 she will perform at the International Music Festival in Bad Kissingen with Axel Bauni, Siegfried Mauser and Jan-Philip Schulze.
