Mariana Romão

Mariana Romão comes from Portugal and received her dance training at the Escola Artística de Dança do Conservatório Nacional in Lisbon with Irina and Mikhail Zavialova, Ana Cristina Pereira, Hiroko NishiKawa, Catarina Moreira and Pedro Caneiro, among others. A multiple first-place winner at the Oporto International Dance Competition, she danced in the Cinevox Junior Company in Switzerland in 2018‒2019, in the ballet ensemble of the Theater Pforzheim in 2019‒2020, and in the dance project »In-Tranz-Yt« by Ana Cristina Pereira and Vasco Macide in 2020‒2021, 2021‒2023 in the Sublime Dance Company by Diana Seabra and Olsi Gjeci (in the productions »Push It Online« and »Kutxi Kutxi Kutxi« with performances in Paris, Lisbon and Madeira) as well as 2023 at Tanz & Kunst Königsfelden in productions by Filipe Portugal and Brigitta Luisa Merki. She already danced in the ballet at the Gärtnerplatztheater in 2023/2024, before moving to the dance ensemble at the Tiroler Landestheater Innsbruck for a season. From 2025/2026, she will once again dance in the ballet at the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz.
