Eugen Bazijan

Munich-based cellist, composer, and arranger Eugen Bazijan is active in the worlds of theatre, music, film, and interdisciplinary artistic projects. His artistic journey has taken him from classical training in Ukraine and Germany, through a Master’s degree in Jazz Studies, to international stages, film productions, and recording studios. He has performed with renowned artists including jazz icon Abdullah Ibrahim and has appeared as both a musician and actor in numerous studio recordings, theatre productions, and film projects. Among these is the acclaimed television series »Babylon Berlin«, in which he participated as both performer and actor. He also appears regularly on stage in productions at Munich’s Residenztheater.

As a member of the ensemble »Passo Avanti«, he combines classical music and jazz, performing throughout Europe at prestigious festivals and renowned concert venues such as the Vienna Musikverein, the Sydney Opera House, the Bonn Jazz Festival, and with the Munich Philharmonic. In addition to his diverse and creative stage work as an actor-musician, Eugen Bazijan serves as a lecturer in the Rock-Pop-Jazz Department at the Jazzschool Munich.
