Giorgi Kharadze

Giorgi Kharadze is from Tbilisi, Georgia. He has won awards at major international competitions: first prize in 2006 at the Emanuel Feuermann Competition in Berlin; third prize and the Pierre Fournier Prize in 2005 at the Rostropovich Competition in Paris; third prize and a special prize in 2004 at the International Pablo Casals Cello Competition in Germany; and the Beethoven Ring in Bonn. Since 2024, he has been principal cellist with the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz. Giorgi Kharadze is invited by international concert organisers and to renowned festivals, where he performs as a soloist with major orchestras. He has released two CDs: »Cello Fiesta« with the Kamerata Baltica and »Russian Evening« with the German Radio Philharmonic Orchestra Saarbrücken Kaiserslautern.
