Birgit Götz

Birgit Götz studied clarinet with Hubert Hilser at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in her home town of Munich. She also attended master classes with Jost Michaels. After completing her studies with the artistic maturity examination, she was appointed solo clarinettist in the orchestra of the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz in 1984. In 1988 she won a prize at the Markneukirchen International Music Competition. In addition to temporary work in other orchestras such as the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Munich Chamber Orchestra, she is also active as a chamber musician.
