Antonio Mandrillo

Antonio Mandrillo began studying singing at the Arrigo Boito Conservatory in Parma, later perfecting his skills with Maestro Ercole DʼAleo. Winner of numerous opera competitions, including Parmaʼs Voce dʼAngelo and the Paolo e Etta Limiti Competition, he won the latterʼs Best Tenor Award, offered by the Luciano Pavarotti Foundation.

He took part in the production of »Die Zauberflöte« at the Royal Opera House in Muscat, directed by Davide Livermore and conducted by Diego Fasolis. He then made his debut in the roles of Ernesto in »Don Pasquale« and Beppe in »Rita« at the Teatro Grande in Brescia.

In 2021, he made his debut as Paolino in »Il matrimonio segreto« at the Tenerife Auditorium and returned to play Ernesto in »Don Pasquale« at the Teatro Regio in Parma, conducted by Ferdinando Sulla and directed by Pier Francesco Maestrini. Immediately afterwards, he made his debut as Edoardo Milfort in »La cambiale di matrimonio« at the Teatro Grande in Brescia. He then played Trin in »La fanciulla del West« in the Circuito Lirico Lombardo, conducted by Valerio Galli and directed by Andrea Cigni.

Among his most recent engagements are: »Il turco in Italia« and »Don Pasquale« in Genoa, conducted by Sesto Quatrini; his debut in Palermo as tenor soloist in Mendelssohnʼs »Die erste Walpurgisnacht«, »Così fan tutte« and »Don Pasquale« in Jesi, »Lucia di Lammermoor« in Bergamo, »Otello« in Piacenza and Modena, »Ermione« and »Messa di Gloria« in Pesaro, »Gianni Schicchi« and »La notte di un Nevrastenico« in Bolzano, »Die Zauberflöte« in Piacenza, »Lucrezia Borgia«, »Der junge Lord« and »Lʼitaliana in Algeri« in Florence, »Così fan tutte« in Cagliari as well as »Signor Bruschino« at Teatro Coccia in Novara.
