Anna Tetruashvili
The young Israeli mezzo-soprano completed her bachelor’s degree at the State Conservatory in Tbilisi and graduated with honours from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna in 2025. In 2024, she made her debut at the Salzburg Festival as Annio (»La clemenza di Tito«) alongside Cecilia Bartoli and was highlighted by the New York Times as one of the »5 Breakout Artists From Classical Music’s Most Prestigious Festival«. Her successes in international competitions include winning first prize at the Cascais Opera Competition in 2025 and the Bärenreiter Prize at the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in 2023. Her repertoire includes roles such as Cherubino (»Le nozze di Figaro«), Idamante (»Idomeneo«) and Eduige (»Rodelinda«). From 2023 to 2025, she was a member of the opera studio, and since 2025 she has been a permanent member of the ensemble at the Gärtnerplatztheater. Here she sang roles such as Zerlina (»Don Giovanni«), Mercédès (»Carmen«), Tisbe (»La Cenerentola«), Hänsel (»Hänsel und Gretel«), Dorabella (»Così fan tutte«), Second Lady (»Die Zauberflöte«) and Cherubino (»Le nozze di Figaro«).
