Lotta Paavilainen

The Finnish performer Lotta Paavilainen graduated from the Ecole Supérieure des Arts du Cirque in Brussels. She has appeared with a burlesque group as a rola bola performer in venues such as the Berlin Wintergarten Variety Theatre, the GOP Variety Theatre in Munich and the Circus Flic Flac. In addition, she was also a guest performer with the French Cirque Baroque in the »Le Cirque des Gueux« circus show, based on Bertolt Brecht's »Die Dreigroschenoper«. She collaborated with Stina Kopra and Kimmo Hietanen on the creation of the street theatre show »Play: Time« and the variety number »Ladies’ Room«, which she presented in 2013 in the Leipzig Variety Crystal Palace. In her work, Lotta Paavilainen examines images of women and self-identities.
